Provincial Nomination & Express Entry
In this blog, we will explain how you can immigrate to Canada through Express Entry and Provincial Nomination Program. Some people lose all their hope if they have a low score in the express entry pool. They think they do not have a chance and sometimes they give up on their Canadian dream.
There are three (3) reasons why one should create their express entry profile and be hopeful of their immigration to Canada. While we know there are factors like age, education, language score that can either increase or decrease points for you. But despite these factors, one should always be optimistic for a few reasons below.
Express Entry Score (Reason 1):
Express entry scores are very unpredictable. No one can predict what would be the next qualifying CRS Score. Express entry draws take place every now and then. The score can either go up or come down. If the qualifying score decreases, you could get lucky and be invited to apply for permanent residence. So there you have one reason to be hopeful about it.
Express Entry Profile Expiry (Reason 2):
Express entry profile stays in the pool for twelve (12) months. If your score is low, your profile can still remain active in the pool. While your application is in the pool you can always try to increase your IELTS score. We all know that an increase in your IELTS score is also an increase in your CRS Score.
Provincial Nomination (Reason 3):
One of the advantages of staying in the pool is that you can also be invited by any province in Canada. Being federally invited is one option. But being provincially invited is another way to immigrate to Canada. You do not necessarily have to rely only on the federally nominated program which is called express entry.
Express Entry profiles that we submit are also reviewed by provincial governments in Canada. If any province is seeking individuals with your education, skills, and professional experience, you can be invited by that province. A successful application to that province can grant you 600 additional points to your express entry profile. For example, Ali had a score of 250 overall in his express entry profile. Ali got invited by the province of Alberta. Upon successful approval of his application with the province of Alberta, Ali can get 600 additional points to his express entry profile. With 600 additional points, Ali will have a score of 250 + 600 = 850.
A nomination by a province gives hope to a lot of people who have a low CRS score. Please note, it is the discretion of the province to invite certain individuals based on the province’s needs. There is no guarantee that you will be invited by a province. However, there is no harm in having an express entry profile and trying your luck.
